11 Ways To Keep Cool While Dancing At RI Dolls During The Hot Summer Months
Stripping at RI Dolls in Woonsocket, Rhode Island is one of the hottest jobs in the area. But when it’s summertime, things get sizzling inside the club. Even with the air conditioners on at full blast, the extra heat can bring out the sweat in anyone. It may be okay for the customers to get all hot and bothered, but no one wants to see a sweaty stripper. Here’s a few things you can do to keep cool while dancing at RI Dolls this summer:
1. Stay hydrated.
While this is obvious, it’s so important so it’s worth mentioning here. During the summer, dancers should be drinking more water than alcohol. Alcohol will actually dehydrate you and make you feel hotter, instead of cooling you off like a nice glass of ice water will.
2. Put your hair up.
You hair is like a coat. Yes it’s beautiful to look at when it’s flowing down your back, but it’s also retaining heat. Summer is the perfect time to try out some sexy up ‘dos. Having your hair up and off your neck will help your skin breathe and keep you feeling cooler.
3. Water spray.
Keep a spray bottle filled with spring water in the fridge or in a cooler and spray it on the back of your neck and your face during your breaks. Just remember to pat yourself dry before you go back out on the floor.
4. Keep your hair wet.
When your hair is wet, the moisture will keep you feeling cool. Consider changing up your routine to include some water play, then rock that look all night long.
5. Hold your hands under water.
Run cold water over your wrists for at least 10 seconds. This will reduce your temperature for roughly an hour. The longer you keep your wrists under water, the longer it will keep you feeling cooler.
6. Wear skimpy costumes.
The less clothes you wear, the cooler you will feel. While you do spend a lot of time dancing naked at RI Dolls, you can’t be naked all the time. So invest is some extra skimpy costumes to wear during the hot summer months.
7. Spritz yourself with water and peppermint.
In a small spray bottle, mix cold water and a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Then spray the mixture on your face during your break to feel instantly refreshed. Peppermint is naturally cooling, and the water will help the oil evaporate faster, adding to it’s ability to cool you off.
8. Eat cold snacks.
You’ll need to keep energized when stripping during the summer, and a good way to do that is by eating healthy food. Why not freeze some fruit, then eat it on your breaks The frozen fruit is not only healthy, but it will keep you feeling cool long after your break is over.
9. Make a mini air conditioner.
Take a glass and fill it about 3/4ths of the way full with cubes. Then, add a little bit of water. Hold it up to your mouth and gently blow into the cup. The air you’re blowing into the cup will cool down when it hits the ice. Since the air only has one way out of the cup, which is the top of the cup that you’re holding in front of your face, the cold air will escape the cup and wash over your face. This is something you can do discreetly while on the floor working at Rhode Island Dolls.
10. Dance near the vents.
Rhode Island Dolls is an air conditioned venue, so try to dance as close to the air conditioner vents as possible. Feeling the constant cool breeze will keep you feeling nice and cool as you put on your show.
11. Take a rest.
Yes, you’re working. And you probably love your job. But you shouldn’t dance to every single song. Let your body rest a little by sitting down and talking with customers, grabbing a refreshing drink, or enjoying a bite to eat. This time of rest will give your body a chance to cool down. It doesn’t have to be long. A few minutes off the stage and away from the lap dances will do you good.
This is just a short list of 11 different ways you can keep cool while dancing at RI Dolls in the summer. There are many other things you can do. If you’re new to stripping, ask a veteran dancer what she likes to do to stay cool. If you’re an expert, offer your advice to a new dancer. Everyone has to work together to keep the customers happy, and customers don’t want to see hot and grumpy strippers.
