After a Rough Year, Rhode Island Dolls is a Haven

This past year has been really rough. I got transferred to a new city for my job and my girlfriend broke up with me because she didn’t want to deal with a long distance relationship. My dog died and suddenly I was in a new place where I didn’t know a sole. On top of all of that, people just weren’t socializing as much because of their experiences with Covid. I spent too much time alone. Sure, I could have gotten another dog but I wasn’t ready to replace Zinger. My apartment wasn’t exactly comforting either because I was working so much I didn’t have time to go shopping for furniture so it was pretty bare.

Last Christmas I spent the day alone, eating pizza, getting drunk by myself and watching Christmas movies. Sad hey? This year will be different though. Why? Because I found RI Dolls in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

I spent the first few months of 2022 sulking.  But eventually, I started making some moves towards making some friends. One of the best moves I made was stopping at Rhode Island Dolls in Woonsocket, RI. I’d been out in Woonsocket for a business meeting. By the time the meeting got out (what a long day) I was starving. Normally, I would have gone through the drive through at a fast food joint but to be honest I was sick of fast food. One of the guys at work had mentioned Rhode Island Dolls and said they had really good food. I saw the sign out of the corner of my eye and pulled into the parking lot on a whim.

Now, strip joints weren’t usually the kind of place I hung out at. Sure, I’d been to a few. What guy hasn’t? But I’d gone with buddies for a bachelor party. I’d never gone to one by myself before. So, I actually sat in my car for a good 5 minutes before I got out and went inside.

Soon as I stepped through the doors, I was glad I had. There was something different about the place.

I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and asked for a menu. I was surprised at the diversity of the food options. I didn’t think that gentlemen’s clubs would have much to offer to eat but there were lots of choices. There were burgers and pizza, appetizers and main courses. And steak! I hadn’t had a steak in a while since I’d been eating so much fast food. So, that’s what I ordered.

While I waited, I looked around. There were other guys like me that were there by themselves and there were some tables with multiple people at them. There was even a table where there were a few women. One of the guys at the bar started chatting with me. It was nice to have a casual conversation for a change – something that didn’t focus around work.

My food came and I dived in. And I have to say that was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. It was juicy and cooked to perfection and the fries that came with it were home made and crispy, just the way I liked them.

As I ate, I talked to the guy at the bar and then a couple more men came in and we had a good conversation about baseball and who was going to get into the World Series.

Then, a dancer came on the stage. The guys invited me to come and sit with them at the front, so I finished my food and joined them.

Well, this was unlike any other stripper I’d seen before. She was beautiful and sensual, and she really knew how to move. She was a professional that’s for sure!

After that first trip to Rhode Island Dolls, I started to go there more often – whenever I had a chance really. I made friends. And I really enjoyed the dancers.

So, this Christmas Eve, I won’t be alone. I’ll be at the RI Dolls Annual Customer Appreciation Christmas Eve party, hanging out with people I like and beautiful girls. It’s a hell of a lot better than sitting in an empty apartment with pizza and Netflix, I’ll tell you that much. But knowing that I have people to be with and a place to go has made it so that I don’t even miss my old life anymore. And the ex? Well, I don’t miss her at all!
