• Separate your hair by placing your pointer fingers right above your ears and drag them to the back of your hair. Everything above the line should be clipped to the top of your head.
• Use your flat iron to straighten all the hair that is unclipped, which is your bottom layers.
• Unclip your hair and place each pointer finger at your temples, then drag to the back of your head. Everything above the line goes back into the clip on the top of your head.
• Use your flat iron to straighten the next section of hair that you just unclipped.
• Repeat this until all your hair is straight. Comb through it a few times.
• Take a pea-sized amount of smoothing gel and rub between your hands. Then run your hands through your hair to distribute the gel evenly.
• Don’t forget the top, by your part, to tame fly-aways.
• Spray a little hairspray on your hair, and you are ready to hit the stage.

6. Unclip your hair and place each pointer finger at your temples, then drag to the back of your head. Everything above the line goes back into the clip on the top of your head.
7. Use your 2-inch curling iron to curl the next section of hair that you just unclipped.
8. Repeat this until all your hair is wavy. Use your fingers to lightly separate the curls.
9. You may want to tease your hair on the top to give it more volume.
10. Spray a little hairspray to hold it all in place, and you are ready for VIP treatment.
