Covid Led Me to RI Dolls When Working From Home Became My New Normal
I love my job. Thankfully, when Covid was in full swing, I didn’t get laid off because I could do most of my job from home. At first, I was really glad for that. I didn’t have to go back and forth from home to the office more than once or twice a month. I could do everything I needed to do on my computer. And because I don’t have a lot of client contact, I could do my work at any time of the day or night that I liked.
After a while though, I started to get lonely. I even asked my boss if I could come back to work at the office but he was really worried about Covid so he just kept saying, “Not yet.”
Well, by the time businesses started opening up again, I was desperate for human interaction. I started looking for places where I could bring my laptop and do some work. At first I went to coffee shops. But they didn’t really give much of an opportunity for interaction.
One day when I was driving around, I stumbled upon Rhode Island Dolls gentlemen’s club in Woonsocket, RI. That changed everything.
Yes, RI Dolls is a strip club but it’s not your typical strip club. When I walk through their doors, I feel like I’m part of a family. Sometimes I bring my computer and work on stuff while I’m there – especially if it is the middle of the afternoon and it is quiet. Sure, I’ll stop working to chat with one of the dolls or the cute waitresses, but mostly they let me do my thing. Ok, I admit, I get a lap dance as a reward for finishing my work while I’m there. It’s a hell of an incentive.
I also make sure to schedule enough time on Wednesdays to go to Rhode Island Dolls for the $5 lunch buffet. It’s worth it to take the time and head over there to have something hot and tasty to eat. They have a great buffet with lots of food from 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM every Wednesday and I haven’t missed one in a long time. It gets me refueled to get through the rest of the week. Ok, I admit, I usually have a couple of drinks and get back to work late – but I make my own hours, so I can do that.
When I’m on the road, it’s especially hard to feel like I’m connected with people. When I’m staying at a hotel a couple of hundred miles away, I can exactly just drop everything and go see the dancers at RI Dolls can I? So, I stay connected with them via social media. Rhode Island Dolls have a Facebook account and an Instagram account (just look for the Facebook or Instagram icon at the top right of the page) where you can connect with them.
I love the fact that I can keep up with what is going on at Rhode Island Dolls when I’m out of town. I find out about special events that are taking place and I can message them or DM them if I want to ask them something. They also post pictures of the dolls and servers and bartenders and I can comment as much as I like.
A couple of the girls even have their own Instagram accounts (watch for RI Dolls to tag them in their own account when they post pictures) so I can follow them, too. It’s nice to see what the girls are up to. They post pictures of themselves at the club, but they also post pics from their lives. It definitely helps me feel like I’m not totally alone when I’m on the road. Sure, I meet people when I’m staying in hotels and stuff but it’s not the same as having someone you know to connect with.
Rhode Island Dolls is one of the best gentlemen’s clubs that I’ve ever been to. They are personal and like to stay connected with their customers. They even have this great website with interesting articles to read. I love the personal experiences that are posted and that’s why I decided to share my own!
Being your own boss is awesome. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But there is the isolation factor and since I discovered RI Dolls in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, I have found a way to feel like I’m not so alone in the world. Thanks, Rhode Island Dolls!
