Foot Care Tips for Rhode Island Dolls Dancers

RI Dolls Foot Care TipsBeing an exotic dancer, even at a classy gentlemen’s club like Rhode Island Dolls in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is extremely hard work. You have to keep yourself in top shape, keep your customers happy, and find your groove so that you can come to work every night and enjoy yourself. Any kind of work you do is always much more enjoyable if you can relax and just have fun while you’re doing it. One of the biggest problems a stripper can have is a problem with her feet.

As an exotic dancer, you are on your feet all night long. You might work in the afternoons as well and may spend eight or more hours on your feet. After a while, this can take a toll on your feet. You might develop blisters, you could end up aching whenever you take off your shoes or sit down for a moment, or you might even end up distracted for half the night when you find yourself in pain all the time. There are a few things you need to watch out for and some things that you can do to make sure that your feet stay in good condition while you’re working as a stripper at RI Dolls in Woonsocket.

If your shoes don’t fit, you’re asking for trouble. At the very least your feet will be very sore every time you take your shoes off and eventually your feet will ache whenever you put weight on them. Make sure that your shoes are well broken in before you wear them to work. For example, if you’ve got a new pair of shoes that are pleather, you should break them in by wearing them around outside of work. A good way to do this is to wear thick socks while you vacuum your living room.

Ill-fitting shoes may also cause cuts on your feet. Surprisingly, you may not realize that your foot is being cut right away. Many times, you’ll simply see a small red mark where the shoe is cutting into your foot. If you keep wearing the shoe however, you’ll end up with small cuts wherever the shoe is cutting into your foot. Eventually these can turn into severe cuts that will prevent you from being able to work. Other times you will know immediately if a shoe is going to cut you. One way to prevent cuts is to mold the shoe to your foot. Plastic shoes can be heated with a blow dryer and then you simply put them on while warm and they will mold perfectly to your foot. You can also pull up bothersome edges. Thick socks can help stretch shoes that are too tight.

Blisters are quite possibly a stripper’s worst enemy. Blisters are caused by shoes that rub constantly against your foot. Watch out for areas that are turning red every time you wear your shoes. The heel, instep, and palms are the most common areas to get a blister. You can wear special clear bandages that will prevent the blister from getting any worse. Small blisters can be treated easily with over the counter medicine. If you have to, you can drain them using a sterilized needle and making sure to keep the area very clean. Adding powder to your feet will help you prevent blisters and has the added bonus of helping prevent foot odor. Also, pick your shoes out during the middle part of the day as this is when your feet will be slightly swollen and make sure you’re able to wiggle your toes.

If your feet ache after a long day of dancing at RI Dolls, then a good soak will usually do the trick. Soaking your feet in a foot spa or just a basin of warm water is a great way to relieve any aches and pains. You only need to soak your feet for about ten minutes and adding epsom salts will help relax tired muscles. If your feet are swollen or feel hot, then you should soak them in cool water. After you soak them, elevate your feet for at least a half hour. This will make sure blood circulates well and help relieve any pain. Massaging your feet after a good soak with oil or lotion will remove any soreness in the heel or along the arch of the foot.
