Meeting My Girlfriend at Rhode Island Dolls

I’m not stranger to gentlemen’s clubs and RI Dolls in Woonsocket, RI is one of my favorites. I’ve been going there since I was legally able to and I have always enjoyed my visits there. But I’m kind of shy and I don’t normally interact with girls easily. I find it stressful and I usually end up saying something stupid before I even get to the part would one would ask a girl on a date.

I never in my wildest dreams imagined that going to a strip club like Rhode Island Dolls would help me find a girlfriend. But it did.

You see, when I go to strip clubs, I feel more at ease. I guess it is because I know that I don’t have a chance in hell of going out with any of the dancers, so I can relax and just enjoy their company. I have no problems talking to them whether they are on the floor or whether I have bought a private dance from one of them. In fact, the words seem to flow. So, I guess, I feel more confident because I know they aren’t going to laugh at me or think I’m a huge nerd (which I kind of am) or anything else. It takes all the pressure off.

So, one night, I was sitting there watching the dancer on the stage when this girl walks up to me with a cold beer in each hand – the kind of beer I drink. She sets one down in front of me and then sits down beside me and takes a pull from her own bottle. I look her up and down and decide that she is most definitely not a dancer. And she’s wearing a cool t-shirt with a nerdy slogan on it that would make any guy like me smile.

I don’t say anything at first and neither does she. We simply watch the dancer on the stage. We take turns putting bills out for the dancer to take. The girl beside me is not shy about putting the money in the dancer’s g-string and she doesn’t seem to be phased at all by the fact that there’s a topless babe in front of her. Maybe she’s a lesbian?

Finally, the stage set ends and I look over at the girl. Deciding that this is going no where, I tell her I like her shirt and pretty soon we’re deep in conversation about our favorite nerdy movie series, which has a new movie coming out in theatres this very week.

One of the dancers is walking about the floor and this girl waves her over. She tells her that she’d like a lap dance for her friend – me. Now, if I was a strip club noob I might have gotten embarrassed and totally ruined the moment but I’ve had loads of lap dances. So, I smile at her and watch the girl dance. Then, I buy one for her. I want to see if it will freak her out. It doesn’t.

I think I’m in love.

As the night goes on, we talk more, watch more dancers on the stage, have a few more beers. I’ve never met a girl like her before. I’ve never seen her at Rhode Island Dolls before so I figure she must be from out of town or something. I decide to make my move and ask her to go see the new release of the movie series we both love. If she says no, it’s not a big deal. I’ll never see her again.

But she says yes. She’s not from out of town. She’d just never been to RI Dolls before because her best friend used to work at a different club and just got a job here.

We go out. And then we go out again. And we’ve been going out for six months now. It’s pretty freaking amazing when you think about it. I mean, how many guys meet their girlfriend at a strip club? I’ve never heard of anyone else doing that.

And the best part is that her friend still works at Rhode Island Dolls and we go there to support her all the time. My girlfriend is cute and just as nerdy as me and she totally gets me. And she comes to RI Dolls with me all the time. I’m in heaven. I know – I wouldn’t believe it if someone had told me this story either. Believe it not – it’s up to you!
