What is a Poker Run and Why Should You Join the RI Dolls Poker Run?

Poker runs are awesome. They are a great way to have fun and raise money for a good cause at the same time. It’s a win-win situation – participants get to have fun and some worthy charity will gain money to keep doing good things. A lot of money can be raised and the experience is amazing for participants. Especially when it is a Rhode Island Dolls Poker Run! What could be more fun that sexy girls, motorcycles, and raising money for a good cause?

So, what exactly happens at a poker run anyway?

Poker runs usually vary from one event to the other but the general idea is that there are several stops where participants stop to pick up a card. They add it to their existing card and by the end of the run you should have a hand. You don’t even need to know a lot about poker. If you can’t figure out what to do with your hand there are lots of experienced people around to give advice. Even some of the RI Dolls strippers know a thing about poker hands!

If you’re not really speedy, don’t worry about it. Speed really has nothing to do with a poker run, even though it is sometimes called a race. It doesn’t matter who gets to the end of the run first because everyone has a chance to play their hand. The important thing is what you do with the cards you are dealt.

The RI Dolls Poker Run is geared towards motorcycles but you can participate with another vehicle, so all you have to do is have something to drive, register, pay the fee, and show up on time. There’s a designated route to follow so it’s not like you’ll get lost or anything.

Are there rules?

Yes, there are some but they are pretty basic.

The first thing you should remember is that it isn’t a race. As mentioned, it is the cards that determine the winners, so drive safely. You don’t have to rush.

Standard poker rules apply.

You’ll have a score sheet and you should hand this to an organizer – one of the officials at each stop – to fill in so that it is legit. Check your score sheet to make sure that the card you drew at each stop is filled in right.

The rules will be made clear before you start the poker run.

The big fun comes after the poker run. Of course, all the participants are invited back to Rhode Island Dolls for drinks and some entertainment. There will be a full menu of the great food choices available from Rhode Island Dolls and the dancers will be ready to celebrate with you, winner or loser, after the run.

The Rhode Island Dolls dancers will be waiting for you to get back so they can hit the stage and have some fun. You’ll want to stay and celebrate all night long. And there’s lots of ways to celebrate. Get a great meal, order some drinks, and enjoy the girls.

Remember that everyone should have a good time so everyone is expected to play fair and be safe on the run. Afterwards, have a good attitude if you won. And if you lost? Well, it’s not a big deal unless you make it one.

It’s all happening on Saturday, August 29th. The doors will be open at 3 PM and the run starts at 4 PM sharp. All you have to do is show up with your motorcycle or other vehicle and be prepared to have a great time. The fee is $20 and the top 3 winning poker hands will win prizes!

Rhode Island Dolls holds various events throughout the year and they are all for the pleasure of our patrols. We like to keep you entertained. Of course, the strippers are always around but sometimes it is nice to get outside the club and do something different.
